Coloured Pencil Artist

Cavalier King Charles Tutorial - Step 3

I continue to apply layers of Indigo and Black until I achieve the depth of colour required, always remembering to follow the direction of the fur. Highlights in the fur are given very light applications of Indigo. Copper Beech is also added where light reflects on the longer fur of the ears. Terracotta and Copper Beech are applied to darken the brown flashes above the eyes. A light application of Burnt Sienna gives the lay of the fur below the cheek. Mars Violet is applied directly below the eyes where light is reflected.
